As you have probably seen from our socials and website, last November we opened the doors for the beginning stage of our first BlueGreen Glasgow project, The Govan Wetlands. It was a great experience meeting members of the community who are interested in our vision of creating a place for nature based solutions within an urban setting such as Govan. The timing for this couldn’t have been better as we welcomed people not only from Glasgow but also further afield with COP delegates coming from far and wide to visit Glasgow and the events we held at our city farm.Â
As always, things tend to slow down for us seasonally and winter in Scotland is no different. The sea aster, planted by volunteers on our planting days from October, is establishing and doing well despite harsh conditions of the weather. With spring right around the corner we are looking forward to the next stages of this project and the Community Interest Company of BlueGreen on the whole. We are gearing up to get back out there with some exciting things in store! Keep up to date with our projects by following us:
